ZEUS+ΔIONE
Mirka Drapaniotou maintains a longstanding collaboration with ZEUS+ΔIONE, grounded in a shared commitment to Greek craftsmanship, ancestral techniques, and contemporary design. Her ceramic pieces for the brand’s φῐλοξενῐᾱ homeware line embody the quiet dialogue between heritage and modernity—evoking Cycladic light, elemental textures, and timeless forms. Working closely with designer Marios Schwab, Drapaniotou contributes sculptural objects shaped in clay and porcelain, subtly glazed and engraved with Z+Δ’s signature Spathoto motif. This ongoing partnership reflects a mutual reverence for rooted aesthetics, meaningful making, and the enduring spirit of Greek hospitality.
BENAKI MUSEUM SHOP
For the Benaki Museum Shop #projectMIRROR, Mirka created a sculptural mirror tray inspired by her Cataphracts series—an ongoing body of work exploring ideas of protection, transformation, and resilience. Drawing on the symbolic weight of armour and ceremonial objects, the tray functions as both reflective surface and sculptural form. Made for a space where contemporary craft meets cultural heritage, the piece embodies Drapaniotou’s ability to fuse functionality with conceptual depth. Its presence in the Museum Shop reflects a dialogue between tradition and design, resonating with the Benaki’s ethos of showcasing Greek craftsmanship in all its evolving forms.
MEDLEY
In collaboration with Medley, a concept and design store located near the Acropolis in Athens, Mirka Drapaniotou presented a series of three amphora vases inspired by the ancient aryballos—small spherical vessels once used to hold oil or perfume in Ancient Greece. Reimagined through her distinct sculptural language, these forms evoke both utility and ritual, linking classical reference with contemporary ceramic expression. Medley’s curatorial focus on design, craftsmanship, and local narratives made it a fitting setting for this series, highlighting the dialogue between timeless form and modern sensibility.
ARTISUN (COSTA NAVARINO - PAROS- ANTIPAROS)
In collaboration with Artisun, Mirka Drapaniotou presented a selection of ceramic works from her Archaic Tales series—vessels that echo ancient forms and symbolic gestures—designed to contextualize and converse with the brand’s jewellery collections. Artisun is a family-run, eco-conscious brand with concept stores in Costa Navarino, Paros, and Antiparos, offering ethically made jewellery, accessories, and lifestyle objects rooted in artisanal craftsmanship and the Hellenic way of life. Reflecting a shared respect for heritage, materiality, and narrative, the ongoing collaboration bridges contemporary ceramics and wearable artistry.
